Daniel Andrlik
Author
Daniel Andrlik lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia. By day he manages product teams. The rest of the time he is a podcast host and producer, writer of speculative fiction, a rabid reader, and a programmer.

So my friend Zach keeps trying to convince me to buy an XBox. Now, I am not much of a gamer. I mean, I used to play some strategy games on the computer ( or as I prefer to say, “strategery”), and I am quite fond of Go (I’m bad at it) and Diplomacy (somewhat better at), but I’ve never really had the knack for console games. Plus, being young and poor it has not made a lot of sense to make that kind of purchase. Thus I have resisted his attempts to tempt me from my path of an XBox free life.

Unfortunately, the more I go over to his place and play his games, the more I begin to feel my will corroding. I must remain strong!

There’s something about Halloween that always draws me back to H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. I’m not alone in this, of course. My good friend Quentin Lewis has taken to releasing recordings of himself reading stories from Lovecraft each Halloween as a podcast, which I highly recommend you check out.
