This is a really great guide for setting up your /home directory as an encrypted partition in Linux. Since I’m always a bit data paranoid, and am a sucker for any kind of software tinkering, I think I’ll give this a try on my laptop when I get it back from being repaired.

Gentoo users will discover that this guide uses some out-of-date information. What I had to do for my laptop is basically what Mike Kelly did.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see this post until I had already worked out the solution, which is too bad because it could have save me a lot of work.
I recommend both of these guides.
