Ministry of Intrigue

For my drive to work this morning the temperature was -15 degrees (F) with a windchill of -30 degrees (F).

Winter must end.

That is all.

Okay, you’ve heard me telling the Courtesy story, which admitedly was pitch-shifted. If you want to hear me being relatively serious (well, with a few exceptions) you can check out my guest appearance via Skype on the most recent release of the Creepy Sleepy Show Podcast (show 38).

The podcast also served as a way to test a linux software workaround I found for recording Skype conversations. It worked pretty well, although I came across a little quietly, which has a little to do with my crappy headset, and that I probably need to adjust my input levels.

It was a lot of fun, and I hope I will have many more opportunities to join the Creepy cast for shows in the future.

To my ten readers (I may have counted a few of you twice to make myself feel cooler) :

Sorry about the general lack of posting lately. I have been super busy getting CreepySleepy.com online for my friend Dan, which included writing what I think is a relatively cool podcasting plugin for Wordpress. FeedCooker isn’t available for mass distribution yet, as I have a few things I want to iron out in it. So the only version of it currently has a few things hard-coded for the Creepy Sleepy show, although less than you would think.

Pop over and check out the site, leave a comment to make Dan happy and join the forums for all sorts of fun times. I’m also the a moderator and the administrator of the forums at Creepy Sleepy, which has been fairly demanding in the early stages of launch.

Anyhow, I promise to be back and posting with a vengence from now on. Or at least until I find another project to eat up my time.

So my friend Dan of the Creepy Sleepy Show Podcast took a moment over the Christmas holiday to record me telling the Courtesy story along with Greg (who was involved) and Zach, who hid in the break room during the incident. He just now finished editing and compressing the mp3 of our retelling, and has posted it online.

He did some pitchshifting, which I think makes my voice sound much more sexy. The people you hear laughing in the background are Zach, Dan and our friend Robin.

The Dresden Dolls are going to be doing a show in Madison!!!!

It looks like the Dolls will be here Oct. 17th at the Barrymore Theatre, which promises to rock my socks off. The funny thing is that with my usual attire and personality I will stick out like a sore thumb at a DD concert, but screw it. I’m going anyway!

I’ve wanted to see this band live for like a year now, and this will be my first opportunity!
