Scientists have developed a headset that uses your brain activity in order to emulate keyboard presses for moving your Second Life avatar around. There’s an included video too. It still seems a little on the primitive side, but I’d still love to try it out myself.

Second Life, in a move to encourage development has released the source code of their client application under GPL v.2. This is great news for the open source community, particularly Linux users.

Also exciting is the articulation of Linden Labs vision of “a globally interconnected grid with clients and servers published and managed by different groups.” Man, that’s hot.
