I realize it’s actually Tuesday, but it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these weeknotes, so here we go! Over the course of the last week: Finished watching Brand New Cherry Flavor on Netflix, which was an outstanding horror miniseries.

This week has been both incredibly busy, but also frustrating vague on things I can share. It doesn’t help that I’ve had a cold kicking my ass for the last few days.

My wife gave me Chew: Taster’s Choice as a gift, and having never heard of either the comic or the creative team before, I had no idea what to expect. I was intrigued by the description on the back though, and eagerly sat down to read it the next morning.

I went to go see Watchmen opening night, and I thought it would be worth my while to jot down some of my thoughts, now that I have had a couple to days to think about the film.

Via Boing Boing: Just a quick post, but if you are at all into comics you will get a kick out of blogger Kevin Church’s hilarious reimagining of Alan Moore’s Watchmen as if it was written by Stan Lee.

As usual, my review is being written somewhat late. This Saturday, I went to go see V for Vendetta at the local IMAX. I have to admit that despite my excitement, I was very worried.

I was just reading the blog of Warren Ellis and came across a very funny little discussion between Ellis and Joss Whedon occuring in the comments of one of the posts.

Oh my God! Total fanboy moment! They have just posted the trailer for the film version of V for Vendetta, based off of the classic graphic novel by Alan Moore. I am so freaking excited now it’s ridiculous.

I am trying to post daily here, but I have a bit of a headache so my more substantial postings will have to wait. In the meantime, I highly recommed you read the online comic strip Sluggy Freelance.
